i just found out that i got my internship of choice for my last semester studying fashion.

i will be doing visual merchandising at the yorkville location of anthropologie-

my dream company!

this is the first step on a career plan i have actually been working on at school. so, fingers crossed! maybe someday this could actually turn into a dream job with a lovely company, and possibly an exciting move to the us.
i am so happy.... and i'll keep on working hard and dreaming :)

feather skirt.

yess!!
the incredibly coveted "clarice" skirt by club monaco shall soon be mine!

my lovely friend [who works for cm] showed me their holiday lookback back in the humid days of summer, and ever since i've been lusting after this piece. the second sign i needed it? when my boss at flare had it brought in for christmas shopping guide and made it clear that every fashionista needed this in her wardrobe.

so, come october i got an email from club monaco saying the skirt would be in select stores. i quickly ran to the bloor street location and sadly enough, it was not yet available in canada. i impatiently waited another month, and yes, it finally was available to us up north.

now wait, surely after such desperate measures, it could not be so easy. only the eaton centre location was lucky enough to stock this beautiful feathered dream, and i soon got a text from said lovely friend mentioned earlier, and only size zero's were left. what could i possibly do now?

i scoured online and found that shopbop was carrying the skirt, although i really did not want to pay in american dollars, along with added shipping costs, the lack of cm's 20% student discount and the fact that it may not fit upon arrival.

my last possible option..... i went to the queen west location and had them do a country-wide search. ah-ha! one left in my size in this enormous country i call home. a store in quebec has one and is shipping it to me this week!! finally! my hard work has paid off :)

emma watson promotes harry potter and the deathly hollows: pt 1.

we've watched emma watson grow up on screen as the lovable hermione granger [of harry potter fame], but her fashion sense has grown as well, and she confidently makes edgy style choices with each promotional event she attends.

not only do i love her and also her impeccable taste [hello, who else can claim helm to being the Burberry Prorsum muse?], but then she shocked us all and shed her sweet, wavy locks for a bold new pixie cut. as if i didn't love her enough, she upped her likability factor when she moved to north america to pursue life as a regular college student. can you even begin to imagine showing up to dorm-life at brown university and having emma as your roommate?

olivia palermo for mango.

olivia palermo, from mtv's The City, modeled MANGO's newest collection, and i have to admit... the girl looks stunning. she could have a very successful career as a model: i certainly enjoyed viewing this catalog leaps and bounds above watching her icy cold demeaner on television.

not only is she easily one of the best dressed celebrities out there, but she's been frequently spotted in magazines and blogs with the stars of gossip girl.
i envy her style immensely. now i only need to hop a plane to new york city and hang out with her in her luxurious condo and raid her closet!

ps- the male model is palermo's real life boyfriend. oh, and i'm obsessed with the black and white shot where she's sporting those fabulous heather grey wool pants and black puff-shoulder top.
