free people has just introduced their new line of vegan leather apparel - think edgy, sexy leather shorts, pleated mini's and hooded jackets. 

anyone who knows me knows that a leather jacket is my equivalent to a security blanket. 

gotta get my hands on the hoodie (to replace my almost too-worn in version from sweet pea years back) and those adorably badass shorts (which i want to pair with booties and feminine tops).

i cannot say enough good things about free people and their insanely gorgeous monthly catalogs. each month i sit at my hp notebook with a huge smile on my face, forcing my roommate to come ogle the stunning images with me. fp always manage to choose exotic locations that leave me in desperate need of a holiday, and with a slight lingering of fear that i may soon be typing in those precious digits of my mastercard for just one more must-have purchase.....

this month [and this is simply based on this small march teaser, not even the entire catalog - which drops on tuesday] i am in absolute need of the sheer cover-up in the last photo where the model lovingly places a brightly-colored, braided harness on her horse.

i'm in love with look four (hello sexy ripped up shirt, arm band, skinnies, vintage inspired boots and tiny handkerchiefs tied around for extra personal style).

in second place, look three (maxi cardi, yes please. itty bitty shorts, and vintage high-top gola sneakers. tomboy glam/everyday perfect look.)

and in third, look two (crop tops are spring/summer perfection, especially when paired with a white eyelet skirt, and i'm loving the socks and platforms combo).

you see, this is both good and bad.

good because i get ever so eager for the next season upon us, and incredibly excited for all of the new trends i can soon shop for!

bad, however, because here in toronto, mother nature just blasted us with another blizzard, and it's going to be quite awhile before any of these sweet spring finds can be put to use!

i couldn't be happier!

nothing is better than throwing on a flowy maxi skirt, with a pair of badass booties or gladiators, a cropped tee or tank, a scarf and a leather jacket. yep, i just decided. that shall be my spring uniform.... that, and a floppy hat.
